Wedding photography at Homme House in Herefordshire, West Midlands

Wedding season – summer

Venue – Homme House

We are invited to many wedding venues and as West Midlands Wedding Photographers we were delighted to be asked to photograph Lorna and Philip’s wedding at Homme House in Much Marcle. Situated on the borders of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire this grade II listed building is licensed for civil ceremonies and is surrounded by 180 acres of parkland with 5 acres of Capability style gardens, making it the ideal wedding venue, which is why Lorna and Philip chose to make the most of this and had their wedding ceremony and drinks reception outdoors.

As documentary Wedding Photographers, we like to capture all those precious moments of the wedding day from beginning to end so that memories are preserved eternally, so we arrived at Homme House early in the morning to photograph all the wedding preparations which was where Lorna and Philip were both getting ready for their special day, often the wedding couple are at separate locations to prepare, so this made life so much easier for us!

Once he was ready, the groom made his way to the walled garden with its 17th century summerhouse and awaited his bride, who looked absolutely stunning as she made her way down the grand staircase at Homme House to join him outside where all the guests were waiting. Fortunately, as you can see the weather was dry and the sun was shining, however there were contingency plans made in case of inclement weather to have the ceremony inside in either the hall, the panelled room or the dining room.

After the incredibly moving and emotional ceremony, the wedding party and guests made the most of the beautiful sunshine and were entertained by games of croquet and jenga on the lawns, tea and cake was provided and of course some fizz to celebrate the marriage of Lorna and Philip. During the reception, we took the opportunity to take Lorna and Philip for a photoshoot around the house and gardens.

With the reception over it was time for the wedding party to make their way to the main house for the speeches and wedding breakfast, which were full of humour and love for this happy couple. Afterwards it was time for music and dance, traditionally Lorna and Philip took to the dance floor first and soon all the guests had joined them.

Thank you Lorna and Philip for inviting us to be your Homme House wedding photographers it was a pleasure to be a part of a very colourful and relaxed day. As usual the complete gallery of wedding photography is available to view for friends and family via online password protected gallery.
