Fforest Wedding, Cardigan, Wales – Lauren and Gareth

Wedding season – summer

Venue – Fforest Camp

The venue for this wedding was at Fforest Farm in Cardigan Wales, where we had the pleasure of being the chosen as the Documentary Wedding Photographers for the bride and groom Lauren and Gareth.

Fforest farm is set in 200 acres of spectacular rural countryside just moments from the coast of West Wales in Cardigan next to the Teifi Gorge. The camp has a range of tents, domes, tipi’s and farm building’s for accommodation and relaxation and was a wonderful opportunity as Herefordshire Wedding Photographers to capture some great Natural Wedding Photography.

We arrived in Cardigan early in the morning of Gareth and Lauren’s big day, so that we could photograph the couple’s wedding preparations, Gareth was getting ready in one of the domes at Fforest Farm and Lauren was at the award winning Cliff Hotel in Gorleston-on-Sea in Cardigan.

Some of the guests had arrived at Fforest Farm the day before to enjoy pre wedding celebrations with a pizza night. The next day a large room in one of the farm buildings at Fforest Camp was made available for the people who had stayed overnight and was full of wedding guests doing their hair and make-up. With all the wedding preparations over it was time for the big moment, Gareth and Lauren had chosen to have their civil ceremony in a Giant Hat Tipi which seats 80 to 100 guests, this was also our favourite tipi wedding as photographers! Most couples want a natural and relaxed time with family and friends especially on their wedding day and as you can see in the pictures this was exactly the case, beautiful, relaxed and full of fun and laughter which made our work a delight!

Weather wise it wasn’t great in the morning as you can see in some of the pictures, however by the time the ceremony had finished the sun had made an appearance which allowed the wedding party to enjoy a drinks reception outside. This was a wedding with some unique touches, instead of a traditional three course meal the guests were treated to mouth-watering sandwiches, tea and cake followed by a spectacular Hog Roast! Afterwards came the speeches which were very emotional, full of tears, jokes and beautiful stories about the happy couple.

With the ceremony and speeches over, the evening celebrations began in the tipi with Gareth and Lauren’s first dance and family friends and guests followed suit by dancing the night away.

Lauren & Gareth, thank you for choosing us to be your Midlands wedding photographers. It was an absolute pleasure being part of your day!
