Wedding Venue – Birtsmorton Court

As Worcestershire Wedding Photographers, we are lucky to have in our county Birtsmorton Court, which is near Malvern in Worcestershire and is a fabulous example of a moated grange which was mostly built in the 15th century, which boasts to be one of the most picturesque places you could find as a wedding venue, which is exactly what Sam and Marie agreed with when they chose Birtsmorton Court for their special day. The couple live in Sydney Australia, which made it impossible for us to chat to them about their wedding day in person, so we only had a chance to meet them both a couple of days before the wedding and also via a skype call a few months previously.

As documentary wedding photographers we like to capture and document the whole day, the wedding preparations first thing in the morning, the ceremony, the reception, speeches & evening celebrations, so sometimes this can mean that to begin with, the couple are in separate locations preparing and getting ready for their wedding day, however Sam and Marie were both at Birtsmorton court which not only allowed the groom and his party to enjoy a few beers in the morning, it also made our work as Midlands wedding photographers so much easier and a pleasure, plus the weather that day was absolutely glorious which is also a wedding photographer’s dream.

Making the most of the fabulous weather, they had an outdoor wedding ceremony followed by reception drinks, also outdoor, initially in the white garden with its pergola, fountains and flowers, then on to the terrace at Birtsmorton Court overlooking the moat with views across to the Malvern Hills. After the reception drinks, the family and guests made their way to the marquee for the wedding breakfast, so I took the opportunity to steal Sam and Marie away from their guests and get some Birtsmorton Court wedding pictures of the couple whilst they strolled around the beautiful gardens. We joined the wedding party in the marquee for the speeches and the traditional cutting of the cake, the speeches were full of humour and love for this couple, it was plain to see that Sam and Marie have a wonderful family and very cherished friends. With the wedding ceremony and reception over, it was soon time to party with plenty of dancefloor madness, laughter and enjoyment had by all, topped off at the end of the evening by a fantastic fireworks display!

Marie and Sam, thank you for choosing us to be your Birtsmorton Court wedding photographers. As usual the complete gallery of wedding photography is available to view for friends and family via online password protected gallery.
